So I came up with two ideas. Walking, or Rowing.
Walking is an obvious idea. Like running, but slower. But ... It's BORING (for me anyway).
A few years ago I took a "learn to row" class over the course of a weekend. I absolutely loved it. I had planned to join the club and row mornings. Unfortunately my work schedule changed and that just wasn't possible any more.
I'd thought about buying a Concept 2 rower off and on since then, but could never really justify the cost, space, etc. Knowing myself as well as I do, I also figured it would quickly turn into a clothes hanger (a low one).
I finally decided that I should "Just do it." I'm also getting married in a year, so this seemed like as good a time as any to get serious about it. Hopefully that will be enough motivation to keep me on the machine.
